I enjoy arranging cello ensemble music for my private students. Here are some of my free arrangements of cello ensemble music. When they are ready, we go into nursing homes to perform solos and ensemble pieces for the residents.
Before Covid-19 hit, I created Trinity Strings, an amateur string ensemble based at Trinity Episcopal Church in Princeton New Jersey. We brought beauty into the hearts of people who lived and worked in medical facilities or whose lives were impacted by disabilities. It was a multi-generational ensemble including teenagers, young adults and older adults who played cello or violin. The repertoire included light classical music and older popular songs.
In the words of Trinity's rector, the Rev. Paul Jeannes, "Music is absolutely transformative and restorative for the human spirit."
